On Saturday, we met up with our friends Steve and Doro for a day at the fair. We rode the train into the city, which Curren loved. He stood the whole forty-five minutes watching the world go by. We watched trick dogs jumping through the air to catch frisbees and the football fans party before the Oklahoma vs. Texas game. Curren went through a mock farm and fed animals, planted seeds and milked a cow (fake). He was so tired that he was not impressed with us dragging him through the experience. The main goal of the fair was to eat as much fried food as our bodies could take. Fortunately for me, the baby would not have anything to do with it. The samplings were fried smores, waffle chicken, jambalaya, and pop tarts. Curren and I shared a corn on the cob, yum.
Our poor little guy was beat and passed out on dads shoulder, so we did not do the ferris wheel this year. He slept on the train ride home to recuperate from a stimulating day.
